Abstract

The aim of the chapter was to explain what is the function of legal information systems in general and what function can legal information systems fulfill in legal education. The Legal Information System is both a tool for finding an applicable legal rule and a tool for finding relevant information for its interpretation.

However, searching for the right information requires the ability to formulate a structured and relatively sophisticated query. However, this requires legal knowledge, but the knowledge of the law cannot be acquired through legal information systems, and this is also the limitation of their use in teaching.
