Abstract

In general, the international survey OECD PISA researches the level of achieved knowledge of a chosen group of students from participating countries. In the year 2012, PISA studied the level of financial literacy at the end of mandatory school attendance.

However, students with special education needs were not included in the project. Released exercises from the international survey were used to research the level of achieved knowledge mainly in the area of financial literacy with students with hearing impairments.

The research concerned students who communicate using spoken language, as well as students who communicate using sign language. The article presents partial results of this research which discuss the first and the fifth level of financial literacy of students with hearing impairments.
