Patient with schizophrenia in rehabilitation interventional physical health care program

Abstract

Resources: Excess cardiovascular mortality is one of the causes of shorter life expectancy in patients with schizophrenia. Aims: To assess effects of three months interventional physical health care programm in hospitalized patient V.

N. on his physical condition and treatment regime. Methodology: Patient was evaluated as baseline and after the intervention.

Cardiometabolic risk was evaluated using institutional SOMA score tool. Physical ability was evaluated by spiroergometry, quality of life by the questionnaire WHOQOLBREF.

Results: After intervention improvement in physical ability of the patient was observed, together with higher scores of subjective physical well-being and self-experience. No change on dietary pattern was observed.

Ethical aspects: The patient signed an informed consent to the processing of personal data.
