Abstract
The article analyzes the historical and cultural development of the library in Turnov, which was established in 1820. It is therefore the second oldest municipal library in the Czech Republic.
The article highlights important historical events of this organization, publishing activities, cultural and educational projects and also presents visions for the coming period.
