Abstract
This article is devoted to the use of the parallel corpus InterCorp in the theory of translation. Selected phrases were used in the research, which show the possibilities of using the parallel corpus InterCorp.
Special attention was paid to the equivalence of translations and its criteria with respect to material from a parallel corpus. The specificity of the Czech-Polish and Polish-Czech translations, which provided the context for specific InterCorp resources, was also described.
The analysis showed the usefulness of the corpus material in finding suitable translation solutions. The article contributes to theoretical research, which shows the role of parallel corpora in the work of a translator.
