Abstract
The dictionary of French-Czech treacherous words is intended for students, teachers and translators who want to avoid unwanted confusion in everyday and professional communication and thus prevent possible, often embarrassing or ridiculous misunderstandings. The publication offers help not only to Czechs studying French, but also to French people who are learning Czech.
For the sake of clarity, the words are given in examples drawn from fiction works and from the daily press and thus clearly demonstrate the correct use of the treacherous word in context.
