Using the examples of four case studies, the authors analyze specific media texts and show how it is possible to approach the analysis of a media text with regard to the four essential constitutive factors that establish media discourse. These are the contemporary context of communication habits, respect for the intended user, stylistic and communicative strategic variability of information processing and the relationship of the linguistic image of the world to the media image.
The book was created as a contribution to media education in collaboration with authors from the Faculty of Education, Charles University and the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University.
