Publication

Abstract

The radio performance was created for Czech Radio - Vltava and it was broadcasted as part of the Spiritual Music program series. It introduces listeners to the work of the newly discovered composer Jan Anselm Fridrich, who worked in the 18th century in Bohemia (organist in Cistercian monastery in Žďár nad Sázavou).

His oratorio "Musica in luctu sive piae considerationes in amarissimam Christi passionem" was discovered in the music collection of the Premonstratensian monastery in Želiv.
