Abstract

The article deals with Baudelaire's most important poetry collection, Flowers of Evil (1857). It emphasizes the following aspects: synesthetic mixing and action of sensory perceptions, Baudelaire's relationship to tradition, the poet's analyticity.

The Flowers of Evil are analyzed taking into account the context of the time.
