Abstract

The essay is concerned with the crucial points of economic cogitation and decision-making. The basic economic criterion - the criterion of profit - is confronted with criteria resulting from other social sciences.

The essay shows the incongruity of both criteria and now highlights the role of emotions in economic decision-making in the framework of the market economy, which greatly complicates the decision-making.
