Abstract
Until recently, the term "legal ethics" has not received much attention in Czech literature. However, the situation has developed dynamically, the number of texts and authors using the term is raising.
The growing interest in the term also means a different usage of the term, which often impairs its comprehensibility. The paper therefore aims to describe the current forms of use of the term, systematize them and thus clarify the discussion in the future.
Therefore, the text describes Czech practice of use of the term in detail and introduces Anglo-American terminology briefly. The description is followed by more analytical part, which comments on the current usage and draws attention to the pitfalls that accompany it.
