The emergence of subjectivity from within the life

Abstract

The aim of the chapter is to overcome the traditional split between the plane of 'mere life' and 'truly human existence', which is the unacknowledged premise of many phenomenological analyses of the concept of life. This will alow to think life from within itself.

At the same time, the very notion of subjectivity is revised. Subjectivity should not be conceived solely on the basis of consciousness dictating life's focus.

This double critique will make it possible to understand the way in which subjectivity rises from the movement inherent in life itself.
