Publication at Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen |
2021

Abstract

Continuous blood glucose monitoring has become the standard treatment for type 1 diabetes mellitus. Both forms, real-time monitoring with alarms and intermittently scanned monitoring similar to a classic glucometer, have found their patients.

The article describes the principles of operation and the differences between the two methods and offers guidance for patient selection.
