Abstract

The book describes the legal concept of contracts in Roman law. It focuses on key topics of contract law such as the classification of contracts, the creation and termination of contracts, the principle of pacta sunt servanda, the causa and and its legal effects, fides and the legal importance of trust between the parties and other topics.

The book also deals with the aspect of enforceability of contractual performance, from the filing of an action to the execution of a judgment.
