Abstract

The Czech Republic as one of the 27 countries took part in a study called International COVID-19 Student Well- study. The aim of the study was to explore the effects of the covid-19 epidemic on a specific population university students.

Data collection took place online, in the Czech Republic students of 7 universities (CULS, MU, UHK, UK, UPOL, TBU) were involved. and VŠE), a total of 7136 questionnaires were collected. This makes it possible to analyze the differences between different groups (by gender, field of study, place of study).

The basic focus of the paper will be on the one hand on the effects on the structuring of students' time during a pandemic (changes in the proportions between contact teaching, online teaching and self-study), the effects of the pandemic on financial security of students. The investigation identified symptoms of depression by eliminating depression CES-D 8, which is used in the European Social Survey.

This will make it possible to compare results from periods before and during the pandemic and, inter alia, a validated other measurement model for CES-D 8. Preliminary analyzes show that a pandemic is expected to have a negative impact on part of the student population.
