Abstract
The collection shows different aspects of ancient cultures. All the contributions of the anthology are united by the adoration of the value supremacy of the past worlds, of the old proven qualities that are not subject to transience.
It can thus be described as conservative, if by that term we mean respect for what deserves to be preserved, for it is perhaps not entirely futile to insist on the cultural validity of such historical outcomes, which Jan Patočka classified as possibilities of "rising from decline".
