The changes in Czech and Polish brewing industry - consequence of globalization?

Abstract

The dramatic increase in the number of Czech microbreweries is a well-known phenomenon. But what is behind? This paper compares the development of brewing industry in the Czech regions and in Europe and shows that this is not a specific development, but rather part of a broader trend.

In its second part, it tries to analyse which factors influence this development.
