Introduction: Article describes development of an algorithm for basic differential diagnosis of urological problems during the patient assessment in the primary care. Method: The algorithm was developed through action research and a modified Delphi method.
Results: The procedure can be used by all healthcare workers in primary care, i.e. both general nurses, paramedics and general practitioners. This algorithm is an illustration of the basic diagnostic process and cannot be applied to 100% of cases.
Conclusion: The algorithm can be a useful diagnostic tool for healthcare professionals with less experience in this field.
