Abstract
The chapter explores who people are and who they to become through the creation narratives. It distinguieshes between the gift of being created as the image of God, and a task to grow into the likeness of God, making in one's life and in all one's relationships the goodness and love of God visible.
It follows how human sin and how divine help mark the process of growth towards deification, the aim for which people were created, that is the communion with God and with all renewed creation in God.
