Abstract
This chapter analyzes people in their understanding reality via symbol. It shows that human understanding reality as symbolic one it is necessary to grasp being as non-objective and also, that people need to give their desire for expressing the fullness of meaning.
The chapter also presents the possibilities of how to overcome dualism of mind/ body (materiality), that impedes the symbolic understanding of reality. It also shows the difference between symbol (or icon) and an idol.
In the conclusion the chapter shows in what ways the symbolic being, understanding and acting bring the harmony and balance into all levels of life.
