Abstract

The author of the publication shares the experience of creating a new generation textbook (the paper and electronic versions) for foreign students studying Russian as a second or third foreign language outside a Russian-speaking environment, where the main selection principle is a concept principle. The article provides the modern criteria for selecting the material for the book on cultural history of Russia and analyzes the prospects of the concept approach for studying foreign languages.
