Posterior pubic symphyseal protuberance as an obstacle to radical prostatectomy

Publication at Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen |
2021

Abstract

The dorsal protuberance of the pubic symphysis is clinically significantly difficult to perform. It is a relatively common finding in radical prostatectomy, estimated to be at least 10%.

In the retropubic approach, it can make it difficult or even impossible to access the Santorini plexus.
