ENVIRONMENTAL SENSITIVITY AND BEHAVIOR OF GERMAN PUPILS AT ISCED LEVEL 2

Abstract

Environmental sensitivity and behavior are important aspects of environmental literacy. A research probe focused on their testing was implemented in Germany.

Data collection took place in the autumn of 2019 at 2 schools. The respondents were ISCED level 2 pupils (n = 89).

The mutual relationship between sensitivity and behavior and their connection with variables (gender, grade, leisure activities) was analyzed. The results showed a significant relationship between sensitivity and behavior and a significant influence of gender and leisure activities.

The strongest positive predictor was a outdoor activities in combination with gender.
