Collapse of the Soviet social and political system (1982-1990)

Abstract

Chapter analyzes the collapse of the Soviet Union and its consequences for the newly emerged Republic of Belarus (1990). The main attention is focused on political, social, and economical transformations during 1980s that have determined the future development of the Republic of Belarus.
