Abstract
The chapter is devoted to the contemporary history of Belarus under the Alexander Lukashenko's period of rule. The chapter focuses on geopolitical, political, economic and social processes including international relations in the related region.
The chapter analyzes the current social and political mass protests that happened on August 2020.
