Abstract
We comment on the proposed national testing strategy for COVID-19. As academic economists, we mainly focus on the efficient use of resources and incentives.
In particular, we suggest that testing should focus on examining existing clusters and finding new ones, and that information about the scarcity of tests can be revealed and transmitted through pricing and a central information system.
