An ocular lesion of unknown aetiology

Abstract

Although an ocular metastasis from the lung is unusual, it needs to be considered. In other words, we must always be aware that ALK-positive NSCLC has a high tendency to undergo metastatic spread.

Any new symptom, even uncharacteristic ones, should raise suspicion of metastases and should be assessed accordingly. Even highly symptomatic ALK-positive patients might profit from ALK TKI treatment because of the high overall response rate and good tolerability.
