The research aims to design a tool for the detection of visual disorders in children with cognitive deficits, especially at the level of the visual apparatus, which could be used by special pedagogues. It aims to use this tool to detect children who indicate a need for a complete ocular and orthoptic examination and thus evaluate the reliability and the usability of this tool in the practice of special pedagogues.
The secondary goal is to determine the most common incidence of visual disorder within a specific cognitive deficit. Another goal is to compare the reliability of different types of stereo tests.
The research sample will be compiled based on a sample file. It will take place between the years 2020-2022, followed by statistical processing.
The main benefit for special pedagogues is to design a tool for the care of children with cognitive deficits, thereby improving interdisciplinary cooperation, streamlining the process of diagnosing problems, augmenting the educational process, and thus making it easier for these children to acquire basic skills.
