One World takes place in the Capital City of Prague and subsequently in more than 30 other cities around the Czech Republic. As such, it was also planned for spring 2020, when the festival opened on 5 March.
But 2020 with the global health crisis affecting the festival and One World was suspended on 10 March due to government regulations to prevent the spread of the new type of coronavirus. The Festival's regional events were automatically cancelled, although some of them had the opportunity of taking place in the late spring and summer season.
The review focuses mainly on the specific organisational structure of One World in the Regions, while considering the degree of management (de)centralisation in the context of the pandemic situation in a country with a decentralised type of self-government.
