Abstract
The article describes the principles of the Colourstrings violin method. It introduces the reader to its creator and to the individual elements of this comprehensive concept of teaching violin which links music theory with the basics of violin technique and creativity from the beginning, in an unconventional way.
The article is enriched with information from an interview with Veronika Machander, the first violin teacher applying the Colourstrings method in our country.
