The presentation deals with the biodiversity strategies at the level of European Union and the Czech Republic. It describes and analyses the EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030, which was adopted in May 2020, and National Biodiversity Strategy of the Czech Republic 2016-2025.
Both of these strategies are conceptual instruments, so at the beginning of the presentation, the role of these instruments is briefly explained. Next slides relate to the EU Strategy and Czech Strategy respectively.
Main areas of these strategies are explained and several examples of their objectives are also given. In conclusion, the presentation points out some positive aspects and shortcomings of the strategies and tries to compare them with their previous versions.
