Abstract
A specialized article on the life and work of the internationally recognized pedagogue and contrabassist Miloslav Gajdoš, who will celebrate the 50-year jubilee of his pedagogical activities in 2021. Miloslav Gajdoš is considered a reformer of the double bass play; he has given concerts and taught in the countries of Europe, Asia and America.
He is the author of specialized theses and composer of double bass compositions. His research activities concerning the Viennese cello and his new approach to the methodology of the play had a major influence on the development of modern double-bass play in the world.
