New Jerusalem in the Revelation 21:22-22:5 on the Background of the Old Testamental Texts

Abstract

The study explain the OT background of the New Jerusalem in the end of the book of Revelation. It shows that the purpose of the author was not only the reinterpretation of the OT images and metaphors.

The description of the New Jerusalem is conceived as the climax of the history of salvation
