Abstract

Flow injection analysis (FIA) with amperometric detection (AD) at a novel type of carbon film electrode (CFE) based on microcrystalline natural graphite ? polystyrene composite film was used for fast and sensitive determination of genotoxic 5-aminoquinoline. CFE is a recently developed electrode with large potential window, good sensitivity, and easily renewable surface.

Under optimized conditions, limit of quantitation (LOQ) of 1?10?6 mol L?1 and RSD of 2.48% was achieved and problems with working electrode passivation were successfully minimised.
