There are films that wouldn't be what they are without Beethoven's music, and then there are films where you wouldn't expect classical music. How did the filmmakers use the popular Allegretto from the Seventh Symphony and what does the ambient form of Beethoven's most famous piano sonata sound like?In the second part of Klapka, dedicated to the Beethoven anniversary, Kristýna Šrámková selected films across genres in which their creators used Beethoven's music.
Some of them are notorious and some may surprise you. Excerpts from The Last Quartet, The Man Who Wasn't, the new Netflix series La Révolution, and the famous Allegretto from Beethoven's Seventh Symphony, which has been used in over 70 films!
