The article deals with the musical iconograms within the roof of the so called Smisek Chapel in the church of S. Barbara in Kutná Hora (Kuttenberg).
The iconographical programme consists of eight angel musicians either singing or playing different musical instruments. The authors put these paintings into broader context both domestic and international, and they also hypotetize their relationship with little-known fragments of a 15th-century instrumental polyphony preserved in the Czech Museum of Silver, Kutná Hora.
