The present paper aims to investigate the notion of the taste in the philosophy of Salomon Maimon. In his treatment I will distinct between two levels: at the first one Maimon performes himself as a advocate of Kantian transcendental philosophy, which he conceives as the only one philosophical relevant discourse for the investigation of taste.
At the second level emerges Maimon's critique of Kant's notion of experience as explained in Transcendental Deduction. The aim of paper is to draw the conclusions from Maimon's scepticism regarding the quid juris question to his notion of tase.
