Abstract
The legal institute of dependent work, as a certain corrective for the assessment of the labour law nature of contractual relations, has been appearing in written law for more than 10 years, with only one amendment. However, the current coronavirus pandemic and the social changes caused by modern technology are causing a significant erosion of the labour market and it is time to ask whether this fundamental building block of labour law should undergo changes or disappear from the Labour Code altogether.
