Abstract

The reviewed book introduces an eclectic discourse and may be viewed as a reader, a referential guide to intertwined areas of social sciences. It connects the latest theories that focus on society in the light of dynamic technological development, but also retrospectively considers the past, provides explanations and searches for analogies.

The author's perspective is sometimes anthropological yet it rejects anthropocentrism.
