Values, which have been set by Scheler in his theory ordo amoris - values of pleasure, life, beauty, truth and holy are according to Scheler independent values, that can't be reduced to one another. Between these values exist eternal and objective rules of preference, which create a hierarchy of values.
My hypothesis is, that these values can be reduced to one value - value of life. My critique follows from observation that in some important situations, spiritual values can turn out to be more beneficial for survival of individual or society than lower values.
The eternal rules of preference, defined by Scheler, can then be clarified by showing that some life strategies, that are expressions of values, are more successful in evolution than others.
