Abstract
The map shows a selection of current armed and unarmed conflicts based on the created own typology. It is based on the synthesis of quantitative and qualitative data of established datasets and includes the number of victims per year, the size of the conflict-affected area and the time aspect of the conflict.
Moreover, data indicating the form, cause and method of conflict management are added. The resulting geographical picture of the distribution of conflicts points to significant concentrations of current outbreaks of tension in the Sahel, Southwest and South Asia.
