A stationary afterglow apparatus with Cavity Ring-Down spectrometer was combined with electron number density measurement system to study the third-body assisted recombination of H-3(+) ions with electrons in neon gas at the temperature of 110 K. The measured ternary recombination rate coefficient K-Ne (110 K) = (1.8 +/- 0:2) x 10(-25) cm(6) s(-1) is close to that obtained in helium buffered plasma.
The applicability of the present experimental setup for Einstein coefficients determination is also discussed. (C) 2021 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
