The article presents a new electronic tool based on the Linguistic Atlas of Early Middle English (LAEME). The article briefly describes the tool and demonstrates its use on an sample analysis of several versions of short Middle Enflish lyrics.The analysis focuses at the use of , yogh and their equivalents.
Specific tasks performed with the tool include basic searches in the database, comparison of texts or mapping. The final section summarizes the strong points and weaknesses of the tool.
