Abstract

Social pedagogical guidance of a client with psychotic illness in community-based outreach care supports the development of life competences. This paper analyses the management of a client in the practice of a mental health social worker in a mental health centre with an emphasis on promoting social learning.

The core methods are reflection, relational therapy, and social environment pedagogy and education. The process of consciously using social pedagogical methods is reflected upon and its importance during intersubjective processing of reality to promote situational learning is concretized.
