Abstract
Mapovedovednosti.cz - application for development of map skills. The article presents an online educational app www.mapwork.education, which was developed to support the use of maps, including cognitively more demanding operations with maps.
The map is thus used as a tool for development of geographical thinking. The main attributes of the application discussed in the article are: educational, online and adaptable.
Furthermore, the article provides various examples of its use in lessons and describes special features for teachers.
