Abstract

The article's title is Law Enforcement in the Field of Environmental Crime. Environmental crime is understood here not in the Chicago School of Criminology tradition but is defined as a crime against the environment.

The paper explores two key questions: 1) Why is law enforcement in the field of environmental crime challenging? 2) What strategies can be implemented to improve law enforcement in the field of environmental crime? In examining these questions, the author relies on the available literature in the field of criminology. Practical examples of environmental crime illustrate the issue.
