Normalisation television series : a socialist construct of reality

Abstract

Under the normalisation period, television series became an important part of Czechoslovak television propaganda. Like other media, television production was also involved in constructing the socialist reality.

The ruling regime used television series to present clearly defined norms, values and sanctions of the socialist society.
