The presentation focused on several demographic aspects of an elite group, namely the German elected deputies from Transylvania between 1867 and 1918 to the parliament of Budapest, and, in the interwar period, to the parliament of Bucharest. To be precise, the aim of the presentation is to observe when did the signs of the first demographic transition occurred in the selected group and how the data compared with the ones from the entire German minority in Transylvania or the Habsburg Monarchy.
