Abstract
The aim of this expertise is going to be about reflection of the status of Czech aristocracy in the times of the WWII. It will be described from the point of view of the intelligence and security service controlled by communists.
The situation in Czechoslovakia was not inclined for the aristocracy after 1945. The communist regime, which was gradually coming to the power, was considering it as a class enemy, who needed to be eliminated.
This social class was watched by the state secret services. They were trying to obtain information about social contacts and activities which could be politically used against them later on.
The pressure from the state security service was increased even more on those members of the Czech aristocracy who stayed in Czechoslovakia after the February putsch in 1948. On the one hand, the negative activities of the state security service towards the aristocracy were more numerically significant, but on the other hand, we can find in the lists of the StB agents even couple names of noble origin.
The author will try to explain the strategies of the communist apparatus through the analysis of archival sources. These strategies were used against former members of the noble families.
