Fluid-structure interaction: non-standard interface conditions

Abstract

Although fluid-structure interaction is a widely discussed topic, the interface conditions between interacting materials do not attract such attention. However, besides classical no-slip and full-slip boundary conditions in the rigid domains, there exist other less standard boundary conditions.

In this presentation, we show how this generalization can be formulate. Finally, we present the numerical solution to fluid-structure interaction using the arbitrary Lagrangian- Eulerian method with these less standard interface conditions.
